THE TRUE CHRISTIAN BIRTH ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF GOD:

“Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Acts 2:38

​

1) Believing the Gospel of Jesus by Faith:

​

God sent His only son who was without sin to pay the penalty for your sin upon the cross. (2 Cor 5:21) He willingly laid down His life to have a relationship with you. (John 10:18) He died on the cross and then after 3 days He was raised to life forever conquering death and the grave. (1 Cor 15:3-4) He ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father. (Acts 1:9-11) He will be returning to this earth again, at the end of the age, for His Bride which is Israel and the Church who have been grafted into His plan of redemption. (Acts 5:31) (John 14:1-3)

2) Repentance: (Acts 3:18-19, 20:21 - Rev 2:5 - Romans 2:5)

"For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live!" - Ezekiel 18:32

​

"In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent." - Acts 17:30

​

HE IS LORD! YOU MUST GET OFF THE THRONE.

 

As a believer,  we must submit to the Authority of Jesus Christ as Lord over our life.

(John 15:4-6) (1 Pet 1:14-16) (Rom 12:2) (1 Cor 6:19-20)

The Bible is a book to be fully read and spiritually discerned through the enabling of the Holy Spirit living within you if, in fact, you are truly in relationship with Jesus Christ.

 

"Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified." (2 Cor 13:5) "For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness.  Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit."  (1 Thes 4:7-8)

 

The apostle Paul speaking of Jesus said, "And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him..." (Heb 5:9)

Paul also spoke of spiritual immaturity and the need for us to grow in our spiritual understanding. He referred to milk and meat which is a metaphor intended to liken a new believer to an infant or a babe in Christ so to speak. They are just learning so they begin with milk before moving on to meat which represents the deeper truths and understanding of God's Word. There was a church Paul taught and when he came back he found that they had not grown at all spiritually. This is what he had to say

 

" In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food!  Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness.  But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil." (Heb 5:12-14)

3) Be Baptised in Water

​

"Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ," 1 Pet 3:21

​

"Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned." Mark 6:16

​

"For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ." Gal 3:27

​

4) Receive the Holy Spirit

​

"Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God." (John 3:5)

​

The good news of Christianity is not that you must live right, but that you can live right. When you repent and believe, God accepts and adopts you (justification), in order that you may live a holy life (sanctification). -(2 Tim 1:6-7)

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matt 28:19-20)
