TOUR OF TRUTH
"I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night.You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, And give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth."
Isaiah 62:6-7
My Story
Pastor Sheera was called into full-time ministry in 1995 and called to the nations three years later. She and her husband Theodore have lived and ministered at varying lengths in India, Thailand, Israel, Nepal, Vietnam, and the Czech Republic.
In 1999, with my husband, in Tung Ling Bible School, in a class by Rev. Joel Baker, we understood the amazing truth of the scripture, “Salvation is of the Jews”. Ever since, we’ve done our best to share this truth regarding Yahweh and Israel wherever we go.
During our stay in the Czech Republic, the Holy Spirit led me to reflect on the Journey of Israel from Egypt to Zion as a Believers’ Spiritual Road Map. We think of Israel as the final frontier of Restoration and Evangelism. Romans 11:15, "For if their [present] rejection [of salvation] is for the reconciliation of the world [to God], what will their acceptance [of salvation] be but [nothing less than] life from the dead?" (AMP) I am called to do my part by praying for the fulfillment of God’s purpose for His people, Israel. Join me in prayer each week.
The people of Israel took the journey to Mount Zion as a ‘people/community’ (ecclesia). Similarly, I believe our journey in the Spirit towards our purpose in God’s Kingdom should not be taken alone. The Apostle Paul tells us to ‘bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ’ (Galatians 6:2) Even as Jesus Himself needed the emotional support of His ‘friends’ in the Garden of Gethsemane, and the physical support of Simon of Cyrene on the road to Golgotha, we too need to support one another on the ‘narrow and difficult road’ to the fullness of life and purpose in Christ (Matthew 26:40, 27:32, 7:14). I believe God has called me into such a ministry of supporting, encouraging, and praying with the saints as they face the many obstacles and challenges that keep us from becoming, ‘more than conquerors through Christ who loves us’ (Romans 8:37).
"Cast your burden on the LORD, And He shall sustain you;
He shall never permit the righteous to be moved."
Psalm 55:22
